A Mommy and Me Cookie Decorating Party
To say the ladies of Pink Poppy love Christmas might be an understatement. We love the gathering of friends and family, the sights and sounds, and the yummy treats! And to make it even better, we've passed along our enthusiasm for the holiday onto our littles.
Creating memories with them during the holidays is at the top of our priority lists, and we couldn't think of a better way to celebrate the season than with an adorable Cookie Decorating Party.
Our Customer Relations Specialist, Rachael, hosted the most magical party for our littles. Before we even arrived, she baked up a large batch of sugar cookies for the kiddos to decorate. Take her advice (and eliminate the stress) and buy the refrigerated cookie dough, roll it out, cut into various holiday shapes and bake.
While the kiddos watched Elf, we set up stations for each child with a cup of a milk (a necessity), a napkin to decorate their cookie on, and small festive cups filled with assorted candies and sprinkles. Then laid out on the table were bottles of royal icing to squeeze onto the cookies. And adding sweet little labels to the plain bottles made for an extra special, personalized touch.
The kids had an absolute blast decorating their cookies and adding their own artistic flair to their creations. And of course, eating the cookies wasn't too bad, either.
When it comes to throwing a holiday party, for adults or kids, remember that keeping it simple and stress-free is the best way to go. Then, you get to really enjoy your guests, watch your kids lick all the icing, and even enjoy that glass of Merlot.
